Been waiting on some samples for almost 3 months now and I was so excited as the day of collection is nearing. Guess what. I just received a message that the samples cannot be completed. All but one of the samples have been damaged during production. The lapidaries have tried their best to create the design to specification but it just doesn't seem to be feasible.
I was literally in shock when I heard the news but rather than dwell on the disappointment, I immediately started thinking about how I could move forward. Of course, this was a huge curveball and especially as I'd spent the entirety of today working on the base designs to fit the samples exactly.
I no longer have the pictures of the cabs that were broken during production as my phone was broken and I didn't have the images backed up. However, here is a picture of a cab that was broken once shipped below.
So what next?
I'm going to create some new designs and try my best to be innovative without being too extreme. I wouldn't want to waste any more time at all. I'll give myself until the Jan 31st to come up with something new. Hopefully, I'll have these new samples in hand by the end of February.
