We’ve arrived in 2020. Another new year. But this one is different from the others. Why? Well aside from the astrological alignments and sensational world news right from the start, something is a little more ‘special’ this year. There's a feeling, a buzz in the atmosphere. Perhaps it's because of the repetitiveness of the ‘2020’ (it’s fun to say). It reminds me of 2012 but not because of a Mayan prophecy, but instead, it’s something else. Or, MANY things else. Either way, it’s a special year and one that will usher in so much change both on the macro as well as the micro-scale.
I'll focus on Earthstrong Accessories.
Last year, at Earthstrong Accessories many milestones were made. The website was launched, products are finalised and in stock, the logo was designed, packaging was designed, investment was obtained, and many other achievements.
This year beckons further achievements at ESA.
Foremostly, there is a need to return to the initial purpose of Earthstrong Accessories. Designing innovative solutions for mobile humans. Now that the Chariot necklace designs have been completed, there will be a return to finalising the designs for the product that created the ESA brand in the first place. Let's call it project…. Aura5. I’d like to launch the product by September 2020.
Aside from finalising those designs, I would like to start a Youtube channel for Earthstrong Accessories where I can, post information about crystals, talk about my journey from design to launch and review crystal things. just a nice little hub where you can learn more about crystals as well as Earthstrong Accessories. So far I’ve been very shy about introducing myself as the founder of Earthstrong Accessories but as a result, the brand is lacking in substance. I’ve been told by so many to introduce myself but I have been putting it off. It’s crunch-time.
I would like to focus on sourcing ethical stones for use in the crystal pendants as well as the stones for Aura5. I have come across a source in America that I’m in the process of connecting with which is exciting, however, I'd also like to find some British sources for ethical crystals. After reading articles about the sometimes brutal mining industry I felt as if I should take heed and ensure crystals were ethically sourced. It will be a process and whilst I won't immediately have the capacity to make sure 100% of all crystals sourced are ethical, I would like to start building up towards that and I hope in around 3 years or less all stones used in Earthstrong Accessories products are ethical.
Another goal is to add more blog posts to the website that involves you all in the Earthstrong journey. So you can see what I’m getting up to and the progress that I’m making. This is all part of better more transparent and accessible communication.
A catalogue detailing crystals and all their metaphysical and mineral properties is something else that I would like to add to the website so that you can easily see what all the crystals do and pick the perfect stone for what you need.
Post to Instagram weekly. This is a hard one. I vowed to stop spending so much time on our most beloved, potentially time-wasting app at the end of last year but in doing so have neglected the ESA Instagram page. I’d like to find the perfect balance where I am present, posting and interacting with you all on the app but also managing that time and not getting lost in several rabbit holes whilst hours pass by.
